Frozen yogurt is one of my weaknesses. I even considered opening my own frozen yogurt business for awhile, but then realized how detrimental that would be to my hips and my wallet. Apparently you can’t make money off of a business if you are eating all of your own goods, bummer. Self-control is something that goes right out the window as soon as I step foot into a self-serve froyo bar, I just LOVE it. You know the giant cups they have available, intended for a small family to share? I have eaten two of those in one sitting. Problem.
So when I saw this “recipe” on Pinterest yesterday for frozen yogurt dots, I had to immediately go home and make them. Picture a hybrid of frozen yogurt/dippin dots. Need I say more?
The process of making them is so quick and easy, it doesn’t even require words:
I made them with Chobani Peach Yogurt and they turned out great!! I do think that if you used regular Yoplait or something non-Greek they would taste a little more like dessert, as Greek yogurt can taste really thick. Seriously, try these. They are my new favorite snack, and healthy too!
Those of you with babies/kids, I bet these would be a huge hit. I’ll have my sister try them out on my 9-month old nephew and let you know how it goes. If he was born with the froyo obsession gene like his Aunt Co, then it may be a good idea to buy some stock in yogurt soon. š

Hmm it seems like your blog ate my first comment (it was extremely long) so I guess
I’ll just sum it up what I wrote and say,
I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog. I too am an aspiring blog blogger
but I’m still new to the whole thing. Do you have any tips
for novice blog writers? I’d really appreciate it.
Hello, after reading this amazing article i am as well delighted to share my experience here with mates.
Hey! Someone in my Facebook group shared this site with us so
I came to look it over. I’m definitely enjoying the
information. I’m bookmarking and will be tweeting this to my followers!
Excellent blog and wonderful design and style.

Hi there,
I have subscribed your email address to my blog, you just need to find the email in your inbox from WordPress and click “confirm subscription”! Thanks so much!
I must admit, your post got me wondering how delicious this be. Looks great!
Wish I would of seen this idea when my little one was still a baby! I will pass this idea along to new moms.
Oh I bet! But I bet your toddler/preteen/teen/young adult (?) would still like them, haha!
Sent this one to my daughter! She lives in Hollywood and is on a total health kick but looking for new recipes all the time! thanks!
Awesome! She will like them then since you can make them with healthy yogurt of your choice! What does she do in Hollywood?
How long do you leave them in freezer after putting them on pan?
It’s been awhile since I made them but I think maybe an hour? Not too long!
This sounds awesome!
MmmMmm they are! I think I may make some more tonight š
Love this idea I have a 5 year old and a 9 month and I know
it will be a hit for both of them!
I hope they like them!!
I LOVE frozen yoghurt too. Especially peach with crushed granola as the topping. A long time ago there used to be vending machines in malls selling cups of ice cream dots. Those were yum too.
Mmmm peach and granola, one of my favorites too! The ice cream dots sounds like Dippin’ Dots, was it something different from that? I remember they used to call them the “icea cream of the future”, haha guess not! It’s too bad, they were tasty!
āFrozen Yogurt Dots « The Other Courtneyā definitely makes me personally ponder a small
bit extra. I admired every particular element of this blog
post. Regards -Ian
Oh my god, those look amazing! Yum š
Rohan.
They are SO good š
How many degrees do you set the oven to and for how long?
Can’t wait to try this!
You don’t bake them, just put them on the pan and freeze! š
Do you need to refrigerate these dots? After you freeze them or how would you atore them. These would be wonderful to take to school with me.
To be honest I haven’t had the opportunity to freeze them because they are normally gone within minutes of making them! I would think that you could freeze them as dots and they would be just fine. As long as your commute to work isn’t too far!
And here’s another creepy similarity – I am not a huge ice cream fan (my husband is) but I am OBSESSED with self-serve tart froyo!! Go figure. Here in LA my fav is Yogurtland – but I’ll seriously take any of them. I too have eaten two cups of the medium size in one sitting (though not the family size haha). I’ve used the family size to haul some home for the next two nights. Ugh, such an addict. Thanks for this – such a smart idea!
Yogurtland is where I became OBSESSED with frozen yogurt haha! When I was in LA for a week my fam and I would go there twice a day. When I came back to NC I was heartbroken that we didn’t have any self serve froyo shops out here but soon enough they started popping up. Now there is an organic all natural froyo bar called Yoforia right next to my house. Heaven. š
Amazing! I don’t know why but Yogurtland has the best plain tart I’ve ever had. I think it’s so sugary and the texture is like eating snow, in a delicious way. I have yet to find a store-bought one that lives up to the same taste but with your idea and my sister being a food scientist, I am determined to make my own AT HOME YL plain tart concoction.
Love this! Thank you, i will be definitely making this! š
You will LOVE them! š
I just made these for Nick who is a yogurt fanatic and he LOVES them! Thanks for the idea!
Do you keep them in the freezer after making them or fridge?
To be honest I always devour them so fast I don’t have to worry about their storage! But they do melt rather quickly so I’d definitely store them in the freezer!
Absolutely amazing how easy this is. And since M is beginning to be a picky eater but still loves yogurt, let’s hope this is a home run! Thanks so much for sharing!
Of course! Let me know how she likes them!
Hi Courtney! Thanks so much for dropping by at my blog and for saying hi. I’m glad you liked my review. The Aveeno Eczema Care Cream is amazing and I’m glad it worked so well for you too. Yes, Cetaphil Restoraderm gives me the same results that the Aveeno one does and I have both of them in my household. If you give the Cetaphil Restoraderm a try, please let me know what you thought of it!
Oh and I loveee frozen yogurt – your frozen yogurt dots look so yummy! I know where most of my local YogenFruz stores are around me hehe
I’ll definatelly try that! š
I love this idea, I’ve never thought about it before but I am so going to try it this weekend, thanks for sharing š
Of course! I know, I feel so silly being this excited about it because it’s so easy. I keep wondering why I never thought of it before! I guess that’s what Pinterest is for…
I feel the same way, I love Pinterest. I don’t think I’m not very creative on my own but I can dupicate things that creative people come up with, haha
I think I need to go make these…NOW! š
Yes, you do!! They are sooooooooo tasty, and guilt-free!
